What is a pre-order?
Some products, particularly lathes and larger machinery, may be marked as pre-order or back-order. We order these from the supplier when you buy them, so they aren't sitting on our shelves ready to go.
How long will a pre-order take?
The expected lead time is shown on the product page (for example, approximately 7-14 working days). This depends on our suppliers and can occasionally take longer. We'll despatch your item as soon as it arrives with us, and you'll receive an email with tracking when it's on its way.
What if my order has pre-order and in-stock items?
If one item in your order is on pre-order, your order may be held until that item arrives so everything can be sent together. If you need the in-stock items urgently, contact us and we'll see what we can do. Or you can place separate orders for pre-order and in stock items.
I don't want to wait any more
If you'd rather not wait, you can ask us to cancel your pre-order and in most cases we'll be able to refund you. See Can I cancel my order?.
When will an out of stock item be back?
We don't always have restock dates from our suppliers, and some items won't be restocked. What's shown on our website is what we currently have available. If an item you're after is out of stock, we may not be able to give a date, some products can be days, weeks or months. Register for back in stock notifications to be advised when we receive stock.
