Lignum Vitae Pen Turning Blanks - Pack of 5

Lignum Vitae Pen Turning Blanks - Pack of 5

This pack of five Lignum Vitae pen turning blanks is kiln dried turning stock, ready for the lathe. Lignum vitae is a dense, heavy hardwood that turns to a smooth finish and makes a pen with a satisfying weight in the hand.

Specification

• Timber: lignum vitae
• Pack: 5 blanks
• Condition: kiln dried
• Code: ROTUR-LV-5

Using the blanks

Cut each blank to the length of your pen kit tubes, mark the centre, drill to the tube size and glue the tubes in. Square the ends with a barrel trimmer before turning. Dense, oily timbers can be harder to glue, so clean the inside of the hole before fitting tubes.

Finishing

Dense hardwoods polish well with fine abrasives, friction polish or CA glue.

Please note

The previous description did not give a blank size and also referred to a single blank. Please contact us to confirm the blank size before ordering.
