Record Power Pen Jaws
Record Power Pen Jaws (62337) are fantastically effective for drilling pen blanks on the lathe. They remove the need for a drill press and give much more accurate results, and their deep grip on all four sides of the blank gives incredible holding power.

Why drill on the lathe
Drilling on the lathe means the feed speed of the drill bit is under your complete control, so a superior finish can be achieved on a wide range of materials. With the blank held centrally in the jaws and the drill in a tailstock drill chuck, the hole runs true down the length of the blank.

These jaws are also useful for small finials and similar projects. As well as their strong grip, they hold the workpiece forward from the chuck, allowing greater tool access.
