UK DELIVERY
We use DPD to deliver the majority of our parcels in mainland UK.
DPD delivery is typically charged at a flat rate of £5.99 inc VAT this will be confirmed in your shopping cart prior to placing your order. (This is a subsidised price, we pay more than this). You can add many products to your cart and this rate will not change.
DPD offer a next day delivery - This is a next working day delivery
and does not include weekends. Next day delivery is not guaranteed. Occasionally DPD may deliver your order on a Saturday or Sunday.
Where DPD do not service your delivery area, we use Royal Mail.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 aims to deliver within 2-3 days, Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims to deliver with 24 hours.
You will see these charges in your shopping cart once you have entered your address.
We reserve the right to use alternative postal providers as and when necessary.
Heavy Machinery
Items over 30KG have to be sent via a Pallet delivery service. The rates change based on the weight of the pallet and your location.
You will see the charge in your cart (or use the shipping calculator) - We have been able to obtain discounted rates for some of our heavy machinery - These are shown as a badge on the product category pages.
OVERSEAS ORDERS
We are not currently sending overseas due to the large number of delays and parcels going missing. You can use a mail forwarding service.

A single, solid stick that brings the ultra‑clear, mirror‑gloss finish of our classic Northern Shine paste into a quick, mess‑free format. Designed for makers who want the same depth, clarity and clean buffing, but with the convenience of a stick you can apply directly and polish in seconds.
Made from a high‑wax blend of premium Type 1 carnauba and microcrystalline waxes, it melts into the wood with minimal pressure, revealing grain, colour, and figure with true professional polish—no dulling agents, no greasy feel.

How to use a wax stick on the lathe with friction application:
- Ensure the surface is fully sanded and dust free.
- With the lathe running at a moderate speed, lightly apply the wax stick to the spinning work.
- Allow the friction to transfer a thin, even coat.
- Immediately buff with a clean, soft cloth until a clear gloss develops.
- Apply sparingly — thin coats produce the best clarity and shine.
How to use a wax stick with a buffing wheel:
- Apply a light coat of wax directly to the workpiece or briefly load the buffing wheel.
- Buff using a clean cotton or calico wheel at moderate speed.
- Allow the heat from buffing to melt and polish the wax into the surface.
- Finish with a clean wheel or soft cloth for maximum gloss.
- Do not overload the wheel — small amounts produce the cleanest, brightest finish.
