This package comprises the Axminster Professional Premium AS Workbench and the Axminster Professional Pro 2 Cupboard.

Axminster Professional Premium AS Workbench

A traditionally designed beechwood bench equipped with a heavy-duty top, a tool well at the rear, and one wooden vice with a central screw and twin support bars, plus a traditional L-shaped tail vice. Built to a very high standard from European beech, the frame members are 40 mm by 80 mm. The top is a very substantial 50 mm thick with 110 mm deep edgings, and there are a total of 13 19 mm dog holes for clamping longer lengths of timber with the tail vice. The overall width of the working surface is 615 mm, including a 150 mm tool well. The end tail vice is 220 mm wide and the front vice is 520 mm wide, giving plenty of holding width for large pieces of timber. Tool storage is catered for by an underslung drawer, 400 mm long. Four 19 mm steel bench dogs are provided, two short and two long. The bench is supplied flat-packed, so home assembly will be required.

Lacquered to help maintain flatness

All Axminster workbenches are lacquered top and bottom to help maintain flatness. However, if your workshop is known to get damp, you may need to add more layers of lacquer to help prevent movement.

Axminster Professional Pro 2 Cupboard

The Pro 2 Cupboard is intended to fit the Premium benches and provides four drawers and a twin-door cupboard. It is made from faced chipboard with good-quality drawer runners and large beechwood handles. The drawers each have an internal size of 340 x 370 x 80 mm deep, while the lockable cupboard measures 370 mm wide x 520 mm high x 370 mm deep.
