Correct Working Position

Most benches are far too high to give you proper control when sharpening. You're in a comfortable position when your shoulders are relaxed and your arms are extended at waist height. Then you can use the right amount of pressure and get the best results.

Based on this observation, Tormek developed the TS-740 Sharpening Station so you always get the ideal working position adjusted to your height, allowing you to keep working for longer without feeling fatigued. The height can be adjusted between 750 mm (29 1/2") and 830 mm (32 5/8"). The four feet are individually adjustable, so you can compensate for uneven floors as well.

Everything Fits Perfectly

The TS-740 Sharpening Station comes with Tormek's storage trays – the T8-00 Storage Tray for Tormek T-8 Accessories, the HTK-00 Storage Tray for Hand Tool Kit and the TNT-00 Storage Tray for Woodturner's Kit – as well as the RM-533 Rubber Work Mat (other accessories and jigs not included). The three storage trays fit perfectly into three of the six custom-made drawers, and the other three drawers come equipped with practical rubber mats. The top two drawers are 60 mm (2 3/8") high and the other four are 95 mm (3 3/4") high.

The specially designed drawers and storage trays mean you can keep track of your favourite jigs and accessories, with everything in its place and readily accessible when you need it. The drawers also have a soft-close function. The storage trays from Tormek's kits, such as the TNT-808 Woodturner's Kit and HTK-1006 Hand Tool Kit, also fit the TC-800 Tormek Case, so you can mix and match storage to suit your workshop.

Side Storage for Extra Grinding Wheels

If you have more than one grinding wheel, you can store your extra wheels on the side of the sharpening station and leave them to dry after use without moisture building up in your drawers. Two hooks are included, and these are easy to mount in the holes on the sides of the station.

Safe, Hardwearing Storage

The TS-740 Sharpening Station has a central lock and comes with a key, so you can be sure your valuable Tormek products won't go missing. Just put your jig or accessory back in its place in the right storage tray and lock it up.

The station has a durable, scratch-resistant powder coating and rounded corners to minimise the risk of damage – to both the station and yourself. The RM-533 Rubber Work Mat provides a durable and waterproof work surface.
