UK DELIVERY
We use DPD to deliver the majority of our parcels in mainland UK.
DPD delivery is typically charged at a flat rate of £5.99 inc VAT this will be confirmed in your shopping cart prior to placing your order. (This is a subsidised price, we pay more than this). You can add many products to your cart and this rate will not change.
DPD offer a next day delivery - This is a next working day delivery
and does not include weekends. Next day delivery is not guaranteed. Occasionally DPD may deliver your order on a Saturday or Sunday.
Where DPD do not service your delivery area, we use Royal Mail.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 aims to deliver within 2-3 days, Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims to deliver with 24 hours.
You will see these charges in your shopping cart once you have entered your address.
We reserve the right to use alternative postal providers as and when necessary.
Heavy Machinery
Items over 30KG have to be sent via a Pallet delivery service. The rates change based on the weight of the pallet and your location.
You will see the charge in your cart (or use the shipping calculator) - We have been able to obtain discounted rates for some of our heavy machinery - These are shown as a badge on the product category pages.
OVERSEAS ORDERS
We are not currently sending overseas due to the large number of delays and parcels going missing. You can use a mail forwarding service.

Tormek XB-100 Horizontal Base
The XB-100 Horizontal Base is a precision upgrade for older Tormek machines, allowing you to sharpen with the grinding wheel rotating away from the edge (edge trailing) rather than into it (edge leading). This opens up safer, more precise sharpening and honing with jig support — capabilities that were standard on later Tormek models.

Sharpening with Edge Trailing
Edge trailing sharpening — where the grinding wheel rotates away from the cutting edge — offers a key safety advantage over edge leading, particularly when sharpening woodturning gouges.
When using the SVD-186 R Gouge Jig, sharpening edge leading risks the blade catching on the grinding wheel. The XB-100 Horizontal Base eliminates this risk by allowing full edge trailing operation on older Tormek machines.
Hone Your Tools with Precise Jigs
Beyond sharpening, the XB-100 also enables jig-assisted honing using the universal support. Because honing is performed edge trailing, you can set your jig with complete precision — achieving a consistently refined edge with every pass.
Compatible Machines
The XB-100 Horizontal Base is designed for older Tormek machines, specifically:
- Tormek 2000
- Tormek 1200
- All older Tormek models manufactured before 8 August 2001
If your machine was manufactured after this date, the horizontal base is already fitted as standard and no upgrade is required.
