Why use a narrow scroll blade
The narrower the bandsaw blade, the tighter the curve it can cut. A 3mm blade lets your bandsaw tackle the kind of intricate curved work usually done on a scroll saw, such as toys, puzzles, signs and decorative shapes.
Choosing the tooth count
Fewer teeth per inch cut faster and clear waste better in thicker timber; more teeth per inch cut more slowly but leave a smoother finish, which suits thinner stock and fine detail. The range is available in 14, 18 and 24 tpi.
