What a converter does
A converter fits in place of an ink cartridge and lets you fill a fountain pen from a bottle of ink. Twist or slide the converter to draw ink up through the nib, then refit the barrel.
Choosing a converter
Check the converter fits the nib section of your pen kit before ordering, especially if you choose the short gold option, as converter length can affect fit in shorter barrels.
Why bottled ink
Bottled ink gives a far wider choice of colours than cartridges, and is usually cheaper per fill.
