The Flexcut SlipStrop & Compound (PW12) is an economical way to maintain the razor edge on your carving tools. It is specially moulded to allow polishing and deburring of the hard to reach areas on the inside of V-tools and gouges, as well as the outside edge bevel.

How it works

The moulded profiles on the SlipStrop fit inside the curve of a gouge and the angle of a V-tool, so you can hone the inner face, while the flat areas take care of the outer bevel. Apply the honing compound to the strop, then work the tool along it to remove the burr and polish the edge.

Why strop regularly

Regular stropping keeps a carving tool sharp for longer and reduces how often you need to return to the sharpening stones. A keen edge cuts more cleanly, needs less force and gives a better finish straight from the tool.
