Specification
- Brand: Chestnut Products
- Contents: Large Mandrel, Small Mandrel, Compound 1, Compound 2, Carnauba Wax Stick
- Wheels: not included
- Code: CHES-BUFF-AP
What is in the pack
- Large Mandrel and Small Mandrel: hold the buffing wheels on the lathe.
- Compound 1 and Compound 2: the cutting and polishing compounds used in stages.
- Carnauba Wax Stick: applied with the final wheel for a hard, glossy finish.
How buffing works
Buffing uses soft wheels loaded with compound to smooth and polish a finish, followed by wax for a deep shine. Use a separate wheel for each compound and the wax, so they do not contaminate each other.
Ideal for
- Completing the Chestnut Buffing System
- Polishing bowls, boxes and other turned work
- Bringing a high shine to lacquered or oiled pieces
