Delivery

UK DELIVERY
We use DPD to deliver the majority of our parcels in mainland UK.

DPD delivery is typically charged at a flat rate of £5.99 inc VAT this will be confirmed in your shopping cart prior to placing your order. (This is a subsidised price, we pay more than this). You can add many products to your cart and this rate will not change.

DPD offer a next day delivery - This is a next working day delivery 
and does not include weekends. Next day delivery is not guaranteed. Occasionally DPD may deliver your order on a Saturday or Sunday.

Where DPD do not service your delivery area, we use Royal Mail.

Royal Mail Tracked 48 aims to deliver within 2-3 days, Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims to deliver with 24 hours. 

You will see these charges in your shopping cart once you have entered your address.

We reserve the right to use alternative postal providers as and when necessary.

Heavy Machinery

Items over 30KG have to be sent via a Pallet delivery service. The rates change based on the weight of the pallet and your location.

You will see the charge in your cart (or use the shipping calculator) - We have been able to obtain discounted rates for some of our heavy machinery - These are shown as a badge on the product category pages.

OVERSEAS ORDERS
We are not currently sending overseas due to the large number of delays and parcels going missing. You can use a mail forwarding service.

• Indispensable for many trimming jobs • Polished solid brass cap, adds weight and feel • Accurately machined cast iron body • Adjustable mouth, for fine work or thicker shavings • 41mm wide blade with 20° blade bed angleA fine example of a No. 9 1/2 block plane, for performance and value. The cast and polished brass cap adds a touch more weight behind the cutter and a nicer feel in your hand. The blade is bevel-up, bedded at 20°, giving the plane all-round performance. The Axminster Workshop plane is suitable for home or professional site or bench use. The Axminster Workshop No. 9 1/2 has a grey cast iron body with an adjustable mouth giving you control for fine or coarser work. The plane features micro depth adjustment and lateral blade control to achieve the thinnest of shavings. The sole is 155mm long with a 41mm wide blade. The blade is O1 steel, offering good edge retention. It comes with a 25° bevel. The blade only requires honing before use (putting a 30° micro bevel on the edge can be done in less than a minute). Weighing 1kg (2lb 3oz), it is a real workhorse of a plane.
