UK DELIVERY
We use DPD to deliver the majority of our parcels in mainland UK.
DPD delivery is typically charged at a flat rate of £5.99 inc VAT this will be confirmed in your shopping cart prior to placing your order. (This is a subsidised price, we pay more than this). You can add many products to your cart and this rate will not change.
DPD offer a next day delivery - This is a next working day delivery
and does not include weekends. Next day delivery is not guaranteed. Occasionally DPD may deliver your order on a Saturday or Sunday.
Where DPD do not service your delivery area, we use Royal Mail.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 aims to deliver within 2-3 days, Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims to deliver with 24 hours.
You will see these charges in your shopping cart once you have entered your address.
We reserve the right to use alternative postal providers as and when necessary.
Heavy Machinery
Items over 30KG have to be sent via a Pallet delivery service. The rates change based on the weight of the pallet and your location.
You will see the charge in your cart (or use the shipping calculator) - We have been able to obtain discounted rates for some of our heavy machinery - These are shown as a badge on the product category pages.
OVERSEAS ORDERS
We are not currently sending overseas due to the large number of delays and parcels going missing. You can use a mail forwarding service.

Woodwork without a keen edge simply ends up in tears. The Axminster Professional AP50UE Ultimate Edge offers a controlled, repeatable and effective method for sharpening, linishing or polishing all your edge tools.

Forward & Reverse Operation
This variable speed sharpening system allows you to run the machine in both forward and reverse. By running the belt in reverse (away from the tool), you gain greater control, generating less heat and, ultimately, a better edge. The large range of optional accessories allows you to tailor the system to suit your own needs - once set, you cannot fail to get a fast, repeatable, quality edge every time.
Jigs & Accessories
With the Support Bar with Dual Axis Adjustment (included with the machine) fitted, you can use many Tormek Jigs to produce a honed edge on most types of tools, quickly and easily. An easy-to-use angle gauge is also included, essential for fast, repeatable setting. Once the unique 'Twist n Fix' arbor is fitted, a wide range of mops and felt wheels are available to hone and polish carving tools to a mirror finish.
Build & Motor
The AP50UE has a 560W DC brush motor with high torque that runs quietly. The variable speed allows you to match the speed to the type of abrasive and the tool. Dust extraction ports top and bottom allow effective extraction whether running forward or reverse. Belts can be easily changed with a quick release door lock, an auto-tension lock, and easy-to-adjust belt tracking. The belt platen is fully adjustable to the belt, with an optional graphite slip plate available. The base is 5mm plate steel with adjustable feet for bench mounting. Supplied with a 240 grit aluminium oxide belt.
