UK DELIVERY
We use DPD to deliver the majority of our parcels in mainland UK.
DPD delivery is typically charged at a flat rate of £5.99 inc VAT this will be confirmed in your shopping cart prior to placing your order. (This is a subsidised price, we pay more than this). You can add many products to your cart and this rate will not change.
DPD offer a next day delivery - This is a next working day delivery
and does not include weekends. Next day delivery is not guaranteed. Occasionally DPD may deliver your order on a Saturday or Sunday.
Where DPD do not service your delivery area, we use Royal Mail.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 aims to deliver within 2-3 days, Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims to deliver with 24 hours.
You will see these charges in your shopping cart once you have entered your address.
We reserve the right to use alternative postal providers as and when necessary.
Heavy Machinery
Items over 30KG have to be sent via a Pallet delivery service. The rates change based on the weight of the pallet and your location.

OVERSEAS ORDERS

Axminster Professional AP540PD Floor Pillar Drill
The AP540PD is a solidly built floor standing pillar drill and a real workhorse. It runs quietly and once fully bolted down to the workshop floor (a must for safety reasons) it is virtually vibration free.

Construction & Motor
Cast iron and precision machined steel give this drill strength, stability, accuracy and reliability. It has a 1,100W induction motor, which runs fine connected to a 13A socket. There are 12 belt speeds, from 150 to 2,700rpm, and multi-vee type belts give maximum grip and reduce vibration from power transmission.
It has a 3MT spindle taper and a highly accurate chuck spindle assembly, running in quality NSK bearings. A quality 3-16mm keyless chuck comes as standard, and down feed is via a one-piece cast iron handle with soft rubber grips, with an accurate depth control.
Table & Safety
Table height is controlled using a rack and pinion, and the table tilts and can be swivelled away to allow the base to be used as a work support. The switch system has a separate locking emergency stop switch, plus a separate switch for the integrated LED work light, and the chuck guard and belt cover are electrically interlocked for safety.
The AP540PD arrives 95% assembled, so no heavy lifting is required.
