Amazique spindle blanks
Amazique spindle blanks for woodturning between centres, in a choice of sizes. Amazique is also known as Amazoue, Mozambique, Ovangkol and Shedua.
About Amazique
Ovangkol is a fairly easy wood to work with, though it contains silica and can dull cutters prematurely. It turns, glues and finishes very well.

Ideas for spindle blanks
Spindle blanks are turned between centres or held in a chuck, for projects such as table and chair legs, lamp stems, balusters, tool handles, candlesticks and finials. Allow for the material removed when bringing the square into the round and for the length taken by your workholding.
Natural timber
Wood is a natural material, so colour, grain and markings vary from piece to piece. The blank you receive will not look exactly like the photo, and that individual character is part of the appeal of every turned piece.
