A pack of 5 Wild Mango pen blanks for pen turning on the lathe. Wild Mango is also known as Mutondo. It comes from central Mozambique.
About Wild Mango
Wild Mango is a deep cream coloured wood with golden undertones. The heartwood is a yellow brown to nut brown with a subtle but attractive grain pattern.

Using a wood pen blank
Check the tube length and drill size of your pen kit before you start. Cut the blank to the length of the tubes, drill it, glue in the tubes, square the ends and turn the blank between bushings on a pen mandrel. Sand and finish to suit; CA glue, wax and lacquer are all popular finishes for wooden pens.
Natural timber
Wood is a natural material, so colour, grain and markings vary from piece to piece. The blank you receive will not look exactly like the photo, and that individual character is part of the appeal of every turned piece.
