The chippers and spacers fit between the outer TCT blades. Simply select the inner chippers and spacers needed to cut the width of the slot you require. The outer blades have a 3.2mm kerf. The inner chippers are 4 x 3.0mm, 1 x 2.2mm and 1 x 1.5mm. The spacers are 2 x 0.4mm and 2 x 0.3mm. The dado head should never be used to cut all the way through the timber, it is for machining grooves only, using light, multiple cuts. Note: In addition, your saw bench will require a kerf plate or throat plate with a wider slot than normal. Using this set necessitates the removal of the machine’s standard crown guard and riving knife, we strongly recommend the purchase and fitting of an Overhead Guard. As well as providing additional safety, it offers greater efficiency for dust extraction when used with a suitable extractor. If you are intending to use this dado head on any other brand of machine, please ensure that the machine is capable of mounting this cutter head securely. Check your saw's arbor is long enough to accommodate the dado with sufficient thread remaining for the saw's locking nut.
