Pterocarpus macrocarpus, or the Burma Padauk, is a tree native to the seasonal tropical forests of southeastern Asia: in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Heartwood colour can vary, ranging from a pale golden yellow to a deeper reddish brown. This exotic hardwood pen blank’s colour tends to darken to a golden brown over time. Burma Padauk’s colour tends to be less red and more subdued than African Padauk.
